Birds
At Lilylane we keep some pets and breeding birds we also have several connections through which we purchase young birds for hand feeding. All the birds that live with us are hand fed and tame are pets first who occasionally raise some chicks. Below you will find a description of the birds we raise as well as some pictures of some of our current pet birds and some past birds.
Green Cheek Conures.
Green Cheek conures are a medium sized bird with tons of personality, they are very clever and can be trained to do tricks, and they love toys.
Cockatiels
Cockatiels are one of my favorite types of birds, they make wonderful first birds and are great family pets, they tend not to be nippy and are very social with their human companions even when kept in pairs of groups.
Lovebirds
Lovebirds are a small bird with a big personality, they come in lots of beautiful colours and are very playful.
Budgies
Budgies are another great family pet, they are colourful, sweet and probably the best talkers of all the varieties we raise.
